This Week!

Scine You All Ejoyned my lsat post so mcuh I tghhout I wluod do it aagin! Haha, joking. We just returned from the dunes about two hours ago, unpacked the RV and trailer, backed everything in and I thought I needed to update my blog! The sand car ran GREAT! No breakdowns, we did not get stuck, we did not stay up all night, and we had an awesome time. I hope everyone had a very wonderful Christmas, wither it meant going to Walmart, spending it with your family, or doing whatever else you do. Now, Happy new year! I hope 09' will be great! Wow, what a full week! Monday we decorated the house. Wed. we went down to the food bank in downtown phoenix and got one of those large orange carts and filled it full of food and took that down there, then my God mother came with her two sons and we hung out. Thursday morning we woke up, opened presents, and then prepared for even more guests. We had a ham, Chile cheese rice, cookies, two pumpkin pies, water chestnuts in bacon with a toothpick and MUCH MORE! We all had a great time. Then Friday morning, we packed up and drove all 711/2 feet of us to the dunes! Friday we took onegreat ride down the sand highway. Saturday we got up, took a quick ride, came back and relaxed for a little while. Then we decided to go to Glamis, the main dunes. There is Glamis, Gordon's Well, and Buttercup. Glamis is the main dunes meant for sand cars, Gordon's Well is meant for both sand cars and ATVs, and buttercup is meant for ATVs but sand cars can go anyway's. So we rode 25 miles to Glamis, got a few things, then rode seven more miles to the main vendor area to get lunch. We were about 32 miles away from camp yet we chose to ride in the dunes at Glamis. We then rode back the whole 32 miles, relaxed awhile, and then took Saturday's last ride and we watched the drags. Gordon's Well's drags aren't as big as Glamis but because this was a Holiday weekend, there were LOTS of people there! To give you a rough idea, there is a long line on one side of a hill ( the sand highway ) and people line up and there is a made up starting line where everyone lines up. People take their Sand rails, ATVs, and even trucks to the drags. They are a lot of fun to watch. It's kind of hard to explain. On Sunday, the last day I kind of bit my lip and said what the heck. I got a plastic zip-lock bag and put my camera in it and Hayden sat in the passenger side of the sand rail and video taped Sunday's ride. We are going again Jan 9th 10th and 11th and I will come more prepared but the quality is terrible because of the bag. I could not risk scratching the camera lens so I had to do it this way. The two videos are 325MB and 1.49GB and I am not sure if Blogger will allow me to upload them but I will try anyway.

This is Amazing

Read this:

Could you read it? Here is what in translates too!

I couldn't believe that I could actually understand what I was reading. The phenominal power of the human mind, according to a research at Cambridge university,it doesn't matter what order the letters are in a word, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself but the words as a whole. Amazing huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important!

I think this is amazing, how God made the human mind!

Tell me what you think!

December 15, 2008

Well, the trip was PERFECT It was good I guess. So, we fly into the dunes, all 701/2 feet of us, pull up to camp, unload, unpack, put the tires onto the Sandcar, and took a ride. Car ran just fantastic! We got going, road hard, launched it and got some air, Dad drove down the hill, turned the car off and about fifteen minutes later decided to start it back up to head back. Well, slow on the startup but finally starts up but something was not right. It sputtered and wasn't working right and stalled. Attempted to start the car? no. So Mark, the guy we were riding with took Hayden and his son back to camp to get all the guys and bring a truck to tow the car back. I ended up staying with my dad in the freezing car. After about 2 hours, they finally showed up with the truck and trailer. They backed the trailer up to the car, lifted all 2,500 pounds of it on to the trailer, and attempted to leave. The trailer was not big enough and it didn't work. So my dad finally says, "Just leave the car, we will come back in the morning." We then call the tow truck and by now, it's 3:30AM. We get back to camp, Hayden and everyone goes to sleep except Mark and his buddy Scott, who then drive my dad and I to the entrance of the dunes, to wait for the tow truck. At about 4:45 the tow truck comes, with two big guys in it. The truck was like 40 years old and meant for 2 people...not 4. So we all squeeze in and began going out to the dunes. After about 1:30 hours, we pull up on these people with 2WD that have been there for 4 hours, stuck to the frame of the car. We pull them out only to realize, we're 8 miles into the dunes. They show us to where we need to be and THEN The fog rolls in. GREAT ( Not ) You could not see 10 feet in front of yourself. We hop out, can't find the car and then get back in to go back to camp to get the GPS. Well, we find the camping area and can't find camp! We spend 45 mins searching for camp, find camp and pull up. Take a ATV, the GPS, and our luck comes. The Fog rolls away, we find the car and now it's 6AM Saturday morning. Keep in mind my dad and I have now been working with this for since 8PM Friday night. So we find the car, hook it up from the back? NOPE. It would have scratched the car's chrome and paint job. Front? Nope, still would have scratched the car's chrome. So we finally decide we've Got to get the car back, so we get a huge rope and hook it up to the front and drive. We get it back, pay the tow people, and go to sleep at 9AM wake up at 1PM to take a ride. ________________________________________________________

I typed that thing up last night. The trip was fine, we just didn't take the car out. That means I did not video tape at all because I can't hold the camera and ride at the same time. Hopefully I can get a helmet cam sometime soon, that would be awesome! On top of not taking video, I forgot to take my SD card with me, so no pictures. Hayden was too lazy to take pictures so he didn't either. Hayden and I both got our braces today... Hayden's are Blue, mine are Gray / silver. They called it "Smoke." I feel like I was hit in the mouth with a baseball. . . again because these things hurt! And I can't stand the fact I can't eat as many foods as before. Oh well, it's only a year. And Why, oh why do they have to go on a day before my birthday? Oh well, once again, It's only a year. I'm still going to eat cake tomorrow Lol. Well I hope you all enjoy your Christmas Break.

Ohhh yeah, almost forgot. Heres my braces...

Sand Dunes

I aplogize, something is going on with my blog and its now showing posts...

We're going to the dunes this weekend. Speaking of which, I should be packing right now. ( Oops! ) Anyways, voice is still terrible. Hopefully I won't sound quite as bad this weekend. I still think this is all because God knew I was going to say something stuipid so he took my voice away but who knows. : P I also should add today was my last day of KEYS until Jan. Hayden and I are getting our braces which means no more candy. Darn. I'll live I guess, like in Photography. I was not crying, my eyes were watering from the hotness. Never eat 6 of those little candies yet I did beat Drew. I'm going to try and video tape on of our sandrail rides and see what I can get. I don't want to ruin my camera with sand so I have to create something tonight that will protect it. Hopefully I can, not sure and if I do it will greatly effect the quality but I'm sure you'll still see us ride hard. The good news is the maker of the car is going to be out there and he'll show us around, help us with the car, and all that which is good. Well, Talk to ya later!

For everyone at KEYS

Told ya I'd post it Michael. Here are some videos of Michael in study hall, attempting to balance 26 quarters on his elbow, swing his arm down, and catch all 26 of them. Did not happen. . .

This is what really happens in the 12 - 1:30 study hall on Thursdays.
That's the longest video, unedited, with no music.
wow, that is going to take awhile to upload.

Enjoy

Because of how big that one is, I'll post more videos later, in a different post.

Merry Christmas everyone!

btw I didn't go to KEYS Monday, don't feel good

Disneyland !

We went to Disneyland today! Well, actually California Adventure. We went on California Screamin', Malaboomer, Soarin' over California, Rapid Rivers, and some other ones. I managed to only misplace my camera once, so after running half way around the park, it was sitting right there. Not too fun... but other then that, it was pretty fun! After getting my camera back, I took some pictures of the little ones.

See you all on Thursday!
