This Week!

Scine You All Ejoyned my lsat post so mcuh I tghhout I wluod do it aagin! Haha, joking. We just returned from the dunes about two hours ago, unpacked the RV and trailer, backed everything in and I thought I needed to update my blog! The sand car ran GREAT! No breakdowns, we did not get stuck, we did not stay up all night, and we had an awesome time. I hope everyone had a very wonderful Christmas, wither it meant going to Walmart, spending it with your family, or doing whatever else you do. Now, Happy new year! I hope 09' will be great! Wow, what a full week! Monday we decorated the house. Wed. we went down to the food bank in downtown phoenix and got one of those large orange carts and filled it full of food and took that down there, then my God mother came with her two sons and we hung out. Thursday morning we woke up, opened presents, and then prepared for even more guests. We had a ham, Chile cheese rice, cookies, two pumpkin pies, water chestnuts in bacon with a toothpick and MUCH MORE! We all had a great time. Then Friday morning, we packed up and drove all 711/2 feet of us to the dunes! Friday we took onegreat ride down the sand highway. Saturday we got up, took a quick ride, came back and relaxed for a little while. Then we decided to go to Glamis, the main dunes. There is Glamis, Gordon's Well, and Buttercup. Glamis is the main dunes meant for sand cars, Gordon's Well is meant for both sand cars and ATVs, and buttercup is meant for ATVs but sand cars can go anyway's. So we rode 25 miles to Glamis, got a few things, then rode seven more miles to the main vendor area to get lunch. We were about 32 miles away from camp yet we chose to ride in the dunes at Glamis. We then rode back the whole 32 miles, relaxed awhile, and then took Saturday's last ride and we watched the drags. Gordon's Well's drags aren't as big as Glamis but because this was a Holiday weekend, there were LOTS of people there! To give you a rough idea, there is a long line on one side of a hill ( the sand highway ) and people line up and there is a made up starting line where everyone lines up. People take their Sand rails, ATVs, and even trucks to the drags. They are a lot of fun to watch. It's kind of hard to explain. On Sunday, the last day I kind of bit my lip and said what the heck. I got a plastic zip-lock bag and put my camera in it and Hayden sat in the passenger side of the sand rail and video taped Sunday's ride. We are going again Jan 9th 10th and 11th and I will come more prepared but the quality is terrible because of the bag. I could not risk scratching the camera lens so I had to do it this way. The two videos are 325MB and 1.49GB and I am not sure if Blogger will allow me to upload them but I will try anyway.

This is Amazing

Read this:

Could you read it? Here is what in translates too!

I couldn't believe that I could actually understand what I was reading. The phenominal power of the human mind, according to a research at Cambridge university,it doesn't matter what order the letters are in a word, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself but the words as a whole. Amazing huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important!

I think this is amazing, how God made the human mind!

Tell me what you think!

December 15, 2008

Well, the trip was PERFECT It was good I guess. So, we fly into the dunes, all 701/2 feet of us, pull up to camp, unload, unpack, put the tires onto the Sandcar, and took a ride. Car ran just fantastic! We got going, road hard, launched it and got some air, Dad drove down the hill, turned the car off and about fifteen minutes later decided to start it back up to head back. Well, slow on the startup but finally starts up but something was not right. It sputtered and wasn't working right and stalled. Attempted to start the car? no. So Mark, the guy we were riding with took Hayden and his son back to camp to get all the guys and bring a truck to tow the car back. I ended up staying with my dad in the freezing car. After about 2 hours, they finally showed up with the truck and trailer. They backed the trailer up to the car, lifted all 2,500 pounds of it on to the trailer, and attempted to leave. The trailer was not big enough and it didn't work. So my dad finally says, "Just leave the car, we will come back in the morning." We then call the tow truck and by now, it's 3:30AM. We get back to camp, Hayden and everyone goes to sleep except Mark and his buddy Scott, who then drive my dad and I to the entrance of the dunes, to wait for the tow truck. At about 4:45 the tow truck comes, with two big guys in it. The truck was like 40 years old and meant for 2 people...not 4. So we all squeeze in and began going out to the dunes. After about 1:30 hours, we pull up on these people with 2WD that have been there for 4 hours, stuck to the frame of the car. We pull them out only to realize, we're 8 miles into the dunes. They show us to where we need to be and THEN The fog rolls in. GREAT ( Not ) You could not see 10 feet in front of yourself. We hop out, can't find the car and then get back in to go back to camp to get the GPS. Well, we find the camping area and can't find camp! We spend 45 mins searching for camp, find camp and pull up. Take a ATV, the GPS, and our luck comes. The Fog rolls away, we find the car and now it's 6AM Saturday morning. Keep in mind my dad and I have now been working with this for since 8PM Friday night. So we find the car, hook it up from the back? NOPE. It would have scratched the car's chrome and paint job. Front? Nope, still would have scratched the car's chrome. So we finally decide we've Got to get the car back, so we get a huge rope and hook it up to the front and drive. We get it back, pay the tow people, and go to sleep at 9AM wake up at 1PM to take a ride. ________________________________________________________

I typed that thing up last night. The trip was fine, we just didn't take the car out. That means I did not video tape at all because I can't hold the camera and ride at the same time. Hopefully I can get a helmet cam sometime soon, that would be awesome! On top of not taking video, I forgot to take my SD card with me, so no pictures. Hayden was too lazy to take pictures so he didn't either. Hayden and I both got our braces today... Hayden's are Blue, mine are Gray / silver. They called it "Smoke." I feel like I was hit in the mouth with a baseball. . . again because these things hurt! And I can't stand the fact I can't eat as many foods as before. Oh well, it's only a year. And Why, oh why do they have to go on a day before my birthday? Oh well, once again, It's only a year. I'm still going to eat cake tomorrow Lol. Well I hope you all enjoy your Christmas Break.

Ohhh yeah, almost forgot. Heres my braces...

Sand Dunes

I aplogize, something is going on with my blog and its now showing posts...

We're going to the dunes this weekend. Speaking of which, I should be packing right now. ( Oops! ) Anyways, voice is still terrible. Hopefully I won't sound quite as bad this weekend. I still think this is all because God knew I was going to say something stuipid so he took my voice away but who knows. : P I also should add today was my last day of KEYS until Jan. Hayden and I are getting our braces which means no more candy. Darn. I'll live I guess, like in Photography. I was not crying, my eyes were watering from the hotness. Never eat 6 of those little candies yet I did beat Drew. I'm going to try and video tape on of our sandrail rides and see what I can get. I don't want to ruin my camera with sand so I have to create something tonight that will protect it. Hopefully I can, not sure and if I do it will greatly effect the quality but I'm sure you'll still see us ride hard. The good news is the maker of the car is going to be out there and he'll show us around, help us with the car, and all that which is good. Well, Talk to ya later!

For everyone at KEYS

Told ya I'd post it Michael. Here are some videos of Michael in study hall, attempting to balance 26 quarters on his elbow, swing his arm down, and catch all 26 of them. Did not happen. . .

This is what really happens in the 12 - 1:30 study hall on Thursdays.
That's the longest video, unedited, with no music.
wow, that is going to take awhile to upload.

Enjoy

Because of how big that one is, I'll post more videos later, in a different post.

Merry Christmas everyone!

btw I didn't go to KEYS Monday, don't feel good

Disneyland !

We went to Disneyland today! Well, actually California Adventure. We went on California Screamin', Malaboomer, Soarin' over California, Rapid Rivers, and some other ones. I managed to only misplace my camera once, so after running half way around the park, it was sitting right there. Not too fun... but other then that, it was pretty fun! After getting my camera back, I took some pictures of the little ones.

See you all on Thursday!

Today !

Wow! Today was great! We took our boat up the coast about 16 miles, to Long Beach, California. It was a little chilly with all the windows open up top, but not too bad. We were going about 12 Knots (one knot = 1.1 or so miles per hour) so it took about a hour and a half to arrive. I kinda slept at around the half way point but got to wake up right after we tied down. We got off and walked to lunch. Boy. . . that cheeseburger with bacon was GREAT! We then went to the candy store and I just got one piece of candy. We've been up here in Cali for 2 days and leave on Tuesday. Ya, that means Hayden and I will miss class on Monday. We'll make it Thursday though.

Here are some pictures:

The Boat:
This is a 2007 Carver 41 CMY. It's top speed is about 22 Knots. It is just amazing.

Well, that's my pictures! I got my blog back and will now continue to update regularly.

How fun, huh?

Last Weekend

Well, Right now I'm sitting in the RV with no internet. I just lost the front seat to Hayden because he wanted it. I have nothing to do so I thought I'd start writing my blog early, thus when I get home i can just copy and paste.

I think I may owe some...apologies. Eve and Caroline I think Hayden ruined your weekend. But I will say you kept him quiet the whole RV ride so I guess I owe a thank you too. ;P He had nothing to do this weekend, so in fairness to him...oh wait never mind...lol

Wow...The Sandrail ran great!! This is the first weekend we didn't break anything. With the old car we had yet to make it threw one weekend without having to buy new parts, work on the engine, or be towed in. With its 450 HP Corvette LS2 Engine, It was hauling. On the sand highway which is basically a long strip of sand stretching 22 or so miles which leads onto Glamis the Sandrail hit a top speed of 86.2 according to the GPS. The scary thing is so it has 4 gears and we were in 3...And the pedal was down...HALF WAY! That means we had the rest of 3rd gear AND 4th gear. My dad didn't want to break anything, but he could have easily hit 120, which would have been foolish because any faster then 85 and you almost lost control. Yet, there isn't a word to describe the exhilarating experience this car gives. Then again, there aren’t words to describe Hayden's stuipidness so...Wait...I bet I can think of a few lol. Well I can't wait to come home to a warm shower, a bed, and all the wonderful things of home. I'm basically covered in sand. Oh, we even ran into the guy that sold us his LS2 engine. That guy has a LS7 now and was just beating everyone at the drags. My dad with his brand new car did not want to drag but on Saturday night there was a long line of people lined up to watch the drags. On the big weekends, like Halloweens people will line up for miles and watch drags. Halloween and Christmas are the two big weekends. Back on topic, I'm sore as ever. I can feel every bump I hit and every jerk I hit. On Friday I went on 1 ride, Saturday I went on 4 plus one night ride, and 1 on Sunday. This was the hardest riding I have ever done and on the ATV my top speed was 60MPH. I was keeping up with guys that have twice the power and have been riding 10x more then me (no lies, I’ve been riding 3 years and they have 30 years) The trip worked great though, RV and Trailer 71 feet long provided great shade and it was cool unless you were in the 95 degree heat. I think Hayden sent a text replying the temperature. That was at 8PM (or so) and It was dark. By then, we had already had the campfire and were on our way to bed, well the RV and went to bed at 12 (midnight). Last night we watched SNL (Saturday night live) and it was the skit with Bush (will ferreal) Palin (tina fay) and McCain (don't know him) And Bush wanted to give McCain his endorsement and McCain kept trying to get away and bush kept pulling him back. It was pretty funny and I enjoyed it but I was too tired to remember it quite correct so...

Well I think we may almost be home. (yay)

I guess I will see you all on Monday.

--------------------------------------------

I typed that in the RV going on the I10 to the 51.

Wow, What a weekend!! Friday got up 5AM and packed, We hit the road at about 9AM but had trailer brake problems, so made a stop at the trailer place and they could not fix that so we just continued on. We finally arrived at the Dunes and did NOT want to get stuck so we bounced the whole time finally getting into our camp. We had to put the sand paddles on the sandrail so once we finished that we took "her" out. We ran down the sand highway at about 90MPH. The scary thing is, we could have easily gone faster, MUCH faster. 90 was fast enough so we turned into the actual dunes and started driving. My dad is very inexperienced with the new rail and that was the first time it hit the "sand". He drives it on the street (it's 100% legal) and thats it. He did very well and did not get stuck. We returned to find the guys in our group readying up for a ride. My dad was tired so I joined them. 2 rides on Friday, 5 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday. I'm sore!! Then we got home, unpacked, backed everything in (rv and trailer) and I went in. I walk in and immedtally am asked, "Get in the car, we need to hurry" My sister moved out of her house and Lucky me...I had to help. We unpacked a full large SUV's load of stuff of hers...and it was a 3 story condo and a lot of walking/running up stairs with heavy things in my hands. I'M TIRED! I even stlil have homework due tomorrow (i forgot to bring it ;)

Well lets see, I gotta reply to some comments, dont I.

Ok, I'll start with this: Tori...I do not give Hayden a lot to deal with. He gives it to himself lol. FUN FILLED WEEKEND!!

Oh Almost forgot!! Hayden took a video of My dad driving the sandrail and me Riding the ATV! The video isn't very good (thanks to Hayden) but I didn't want to get sand on my camrea. Lets see...How to post a video...

OK, couple of notes:

1) I did have a shirt on, That was my tan riding shrit (it looks like i'm shritless)
2) That is my dad in the sandrail with the biggest smile you will EVER see on his face
3)I told hayden to take video of ME but he wanted the sandrail too
4) No pictures, sorry they didn't turn out.

Wow...Long post!

I'm off

lol it's 11PM and lucky me...get to wake up at 4AM!! I said I was going to post, So here I am. We are going to wake up 4-5AM and finalize the packing (hook up trailer with RV, secure everything, ect.) So, Not too much to do but my Dad has to work a little bit too so we should hit the road about 10AM-ish and pull into the dunes at about 2-2:30-ish. Hayden (as I said before) Cannot ride (Yes!! and No!!) So he will be as bored as ever sitting in the hot RV while I'm having fun, jumping, wheeling and what not. First time out with the 500 HP LS2 (corvette engine) BRAND SPANKIN NEW SANDRAIL!! This thing was just built about 3 monthes ago and has yet to touch anything but the trailer floor and street. It is 100% Street legal and if my Dad would pay for Insureance, He would be able to take me to KEYS in it. I am excited as ever to finally go and I have been waiting...let see like since April (our last trip) So it's been awhile and I'll need to find my "comfort" zone again. I'll take as much video as I can but I lost my Video Camera charger...So I cannot bring that but I can bring my Fuji camera that takes video. The only problem is, My dad cannot take pictures because he will be in the sandrail and Hayden can't even leave the camp grounds because somebody hurt his head and the rocking can't happen, So I will take what I can. It will also be like 2-3 of my journel pages. I'll see what I can do and will put everything I get up on here ASAP. We will probably leave sunday at around 9 or 10 AM and arrive home 3PM-ish. When we get back we will have to unpack the fridge, unpack the whole RV, clean up the trailer, wash the ATVs and Sandrail, Wash the RV, park the RV, park the trailer, Disconnect everything, hook up power and A LOT MORE!! So I will (lucky me) be forced to do homework while on my wonder vacation time but oh-well. Wow, This post has taken me like 15 minutes now and I should have gone to bed 1:15 ago. lol, oops :p

I'll be up 3:30-ish (gives me 30 minutes to check my blog, and see if anything happend in the 4 hours I was gone) And get 100% ready to leave.

I'm having second thoughts about bringing my laptop. I'm 99.9% sure I get internet out there, So I May bring it and post the pictures I get but then again, It's one more thing to worry about and take up my enjoyible relax time. No harm in bringing it so I guess I might as well.

Well I have to go to bed...Wow am I tired.

This Weekend

Well I probably should not be on right now because I am leaving tomorrow to the Yuma Dunes!! I have some pictures below of me jumping and because Hayden will not ride this means I will be able to ride the 450! I'll bring my camera but I am not willing to ruin it but I will do what I can and I will post all videos I get and put them on here. Hayden can't ride at all...So he will probably stay in the RV while I'm out having the time of my life. In other words...Eve if your still looking into being made fun of...TEXT! (lol) Unless he's too busy "Running his car (RC Car)" Which really meant "Talking to Caroline" (:p) Well I have the biggest headache because last night I was loading stuff up in the trailer and decided to jump and hit my head. Or the time I was putting some tires in the smaller one and stepped up and slammed the front of my head right into the top of the trailer (not fun) And thats why I had that huge egg on the front of my head.

Well I was just told to come out and pack the RV and I WANT TO GO!!!

Hopefully I can make another post later tonight!

Funny Prank

Well about 1 or so years ago I played a prank on Hayden. I'm only thinking of this because I happen to be in a good mood because last night I ate some Pumpkin pie ice cream.

We had just walked into a restaurant and we had already ate dinner, So I decided to get some Ice cream. There was vanilla, Chocolate and Some "untagged" Flavor. I was curious to what it was, So I got some and brought it back. It was a little small bowl and I get back to our table and my dad is sitting right there because it was my dad, my brother, and I. Hayden asked, "What flavor is that?" I immediately took one bite and told him, "Pumpkin Pie." Well he left to go get some and he comes back with the biggest serving of ice cream I've ever seen. He takes one bite and prepared to punch me. It was like orange Schubert!! I've never seen my dad laugh so hard at something I did to Hayden. I've also never seen such disappointment in Hayden's face. It was hard to text so I hope this ties up loose ends (lol)

I soooooooo want to try the cotton ball in chocolate with coco powder and trick Hayden into eating it. The only problem is, Hayden does not eat chocolate, Which I cannot understand. If I do try it, I will deferentially tape the whole thing. That would be hilarious.

This week:

today (20 minute) I'm gong to my Wed. Co-op. After that I'm going to pick up our RV. Tomorrow I'll be at KEYS and the moment I get home from KEYS, I'll be packing the RV and Trailer and Friday morning, We'll be on our way to the Imperial Sand Dunes. I'll be sure to take as many pictures as I can but I am just hopeful that Sand does not ruin my camera. I do have some pictures of me jumping and that was 1-2 years ago. Now i ride an ATV with twice the power and because Hayden hurt his head, He cannot ride at all. Hopefully, he will take pictures but there is no guarantee. I'll do my best and see what I can do about my Video Camera, I'd love to take some video of the Sand car "In action". Hayden will probably do his RC car and I'll have video of that too. I cannot wait for this weekend, and it will be fun for my weekend to be ruined by homework.

Well I'm off to my Wed. Co-op.

Next weekend

Well i thought I'd tell you in advance, Next weekend we are going to the imperial Sand dunes. Basically a bunch of sand dunes. I looked in my email and found some old pictures (about 1 year ago) of me jumping my ATV there, thought you MAY enjoy.

I live in Newport Beach, California for parts of the summer (basically vacation house) I go to KEYs (Kingdom of education for young scholars i think) and I have 4 classes there. First blog

Obviously my FIRST BLOG! (what exactly does the term "Blog" mean anyways??)
